Perlman supports daughter's acting

Hellboy star Ron Perlman says he's backing his daughter Blake as she tries to make it in the movie business.

Speaking at the premiere of the second season of his cult show Sons Of Anarchy, the actor explained how he whole-heartedly supported his 25-year-old daughter's decision to follow him into acting.

"I'm very supportive of anybody who finds something that they love to do, I think that's what's going to pull you through all the tough times," he said.

"I don't know if anything in life is easy," he continued, "so you better really, really have the passion and the fire in your gut to sustain you."

"She had it, that's what I saw. I let her find it herself and then once she found it I became very encouraging because all I ever wanted from my kids was for them to find something to do that they loved."

The 59-year-old actor added how his one piece of advice to her was "Never take no for an answer".
